Mismatched Moon and Star Stud Earrings

15.00

I make these studs starting with tiny raw brass circles. I have a moon and star metal stamp and I grab my hammer and strike the little moon or star image into the metal. Then I securely attached the simple brass circles to nickel & lead free earring posts (message me if you need sterling silver posts!). Then, when you buy a pair of these studs, I donate $3 to Big World Project to care for orphans!

● 8mm circles
● Nickel and lead free posts
● Solid brass discs
● For every pair sold $3 is donated to care for orphans

- About The Metal -

Brass is a great metal! It's naturally nickel and lead free (the leading cause for allergic reaction) and although it will darken over time, the gold color will never wear off, unlike plated metals, and it's easy to shine it up again too! Simply rub the metal gently with a jewelry polishing cloth.
To keep your jewelry in best condition it is advised to remove before swimming/showering and anytime when you may sweat. When you sweat, the acidity in the oils of the skin react with the metal and depending on the levels, this sometimes is what will cause tarnishing or leave a green color. Not to worry though, I use a high quality brass and in the 4 years that I have been interacting with customers, only one person has ever said that has happened to her.

- Wrapping -

Each item will arrive packaged in a glassine bag with washi tape and containing a card with a photo and the story of one of the children we support through our jewelry! It makes a gift so much more meaningful to know that it's helping others as well!
